***UPDATE AS OF 1:30PM AZ TIME JANUARY 19th, 2013: Lucky’s eye ruptured earlier this morning and had less than 20% of the proper ocular pressure, requiring immediate surgery. She is in surgery currently at First Regional Animal Hospital in Arizona. It’s an emergency vet but Dr. Blom seems like a very nice woman who knows her stuff! She let me say good bye to Lucky before surgery. She even let me give her her favorite white fluffy blanket that she loves to suckle on and knead into. I will be updating this post with any news. Here I am saying good bye!:( http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/603012_157004181114596_659060552_n.jpg
Thank you kindly to everyone who donated, you are all amazing!!!!!
Here is the original post: This is my baby, Lucky. She most likely needs her eye removed. We are trying a last-resort herpes eye drop medicine for cats (even though she doesn’t have herpes) to try and heal the ulcer. But what happened is that she has an ulcer on her eye and that her iris has prolapsed (coming out of her eye, essentially). We rescued her from a gutter in November because she already had ulcers and a very bad eye infection. It healed up very well but this ulcer showed up on Jan 12th/13th.
